Surrounding the Charlotte Graphics Studio is a colourful rock garden that visitors may visit to enjoy the sites and sounds of this unique setting. The entrance to this garden is through a whale bone gate that was constructed using the massive 14 foot long whale jaw bone supported on massive red cedar timbers. Centered in the garden, beyond the whale bone gate, is a large pond with a cascading waterfall tumbling through the rocky landscape. A large liberty ship anchor at the edge of the garden links this location to the sea beyond. Specimen plants including 7 varieties of Bamboo and naturalized ground cover give a rich variety of colour and texture throughout the year.
